Our year-round impact
The climate movement can’t afford to only get political every 2 or 4 years. We must mobilize every day, in every election to amass so much political power that we’re impossible to ignore.
Each year, we track how many seldom-voting and non-voting environmentalists we’ve helped convert into consistent “super voters” who now reliably vote in federal, state, and local elections.
2,183,117 of the 12,769,860 non-voting and seldom-voting environmentalists whom EVP has communicated with since the fall of 2015 are now consistent super-voters who vote in every election, big and small. These were once environmentalists who never or rarely voted, but now they consistently vote their values in federal, state, and even local elections.

We target the states where we can have the biggest impact and talk to voters year-round.
Our goal is not to win one-off elections, but rather to change the underlying electorate by (a) identifying states with large populations of non-voting environmentalists, (b) investing in detailed voter research, and then (c) using every election as a behavioral intervention opportunity to grow the power of that state’s environmental movement.

In the January 2021 US Senate runoff elections, we increased turnout +0.9 percentage points (pp) among our targeted environmental voters, and we've since increased turnout in multiple local elections by as much as +5.0pp. In 2024, EVP boosted turnout among our voters by +0.4pp in a presidential battleground state. We're targeting 366,557 voters in elections across the state in 2025.
